Wedding planning to-do list for couples
Wedding planning is a project with hundreds of small decisions. It’s easy for one person to end up holding all of it. A shared list keeps you both in the loop, and keeps it about the two of you.
Early on
- Agree on a budget and rough guest count.
- Pick a date range and the kind of day you want.
- Shortlist and visit venues.
- Start a savings goal for the big costs.
The middle months
- Book the big things: photographer, food, music.
- Send save-the-dates, then invitations with an RSVP date.
- Plan outfits, rings and any travel for guests.
- Keep a running list of questions for each vendor.
The last few weeks
- Chase missing RSVPs and confirm numbers.
- Confirm times with every vendor.
- Pack for the day, and for after.
- Leave space in the calendar for each other.
Keep it shared, and kind
Split it by interest, not by assignment: let each of you pick the parts you care about. Keep notes and decisions on each task, so nobody has to remember what the florist said.
